FundWisr™ Affiliate Marketing, Disclosure, and Brand Policy
1. Core Rule
Promote FundWisr accurately, transparently, and in a way that protects nonprofit users from misleading claims.
Every Affiliate is responsible for its own marketing content and compliance.
2. Required Affiliate Disclosure
Whenever you recommend, review, endorse, compare, demonstrate, or link to FundWisr in a context where your financial relationship may not be obvious, clearly disclose that you may receive compensation.
Approved disclosure examples
Website/article:
Affiliate disclosure: I may earn a commission if you purchase FundWisr through links in this content.
Short-form social post:
Ad / Affiliate disclosure: I may earn a commission if you subscribe through my FundWisr link.
Email:
Affiliate disclosure: I may receive a commission if you purchase FundWisr through the link in this email.
Video/webinar/podcast:
Disclosure: I am a FundWisr affiliate and may receive a commission if you subscribe using my link.
Provide the disclosure verbally in audio/video content and visibly near the link or call to action where the medium permits.
Do not rely solely on
- “affiliate link” without explaining that payment may be received;
- a disclosure buried in Terms of Use;
- a disclosure only on an About page;
- a profile-bio disclosure that is far from the actual recommendation;
- a disclosure hidden after “more” when the audience can act before seeing it;
- tiny, low-contrast, fleeting, or difficult-to-read text; or
- a platform tool if the total presentation still fails to make the relationship clear.
3. Placement Standard
The disclosure must be:
- close to the endorsement or Referral Link;
- visible before or at the point a user acts on the recommendation;
- understandable to an ordinary member of the intended audience;
- in a readable size and contrast;
- repeated when necessary in long content where later links are separated from the original disclosure; and
- in the same language as the promotion when practicable.
4. Approved FundWisr Positioning
Affiliates may accurately describe FundWisr as a nonprofit-focused platform that helps organizations, depending on current features and plan access, with areas such as:
- organizational intelligence;
- funding intelligence;
- funding readiness;
- organizational readiness;
- strategic decision support;
- program and impact intelligence;
- governance and operational intelligence;
- revenue diversification;
- document development and support;
- diagnostics and scoring;
- AI-assisted strategy through the AI Co-Strategist;
- workflow, action, and deadline management; and
- board- and leadership-ready reporting.
Use only claims that match the live FundWisr product.
Do not advertise a planned or beta feature as generally available unless FundWisr has authorized that statement.
5. Approved Funding-Readiness Language
Affiliates may say, when accurate:
- “FundWisr helps nonprofits strengthen funding readiness.”
- “FundWisr helps organizations organize the information and documents needed to pursue funding more strategically.”
- “FundWisr helps nonprofits identify readiness gaps and next actions.”
- “FundWisr provides funding intelligence and strategic decision support.”
- “FundWisr can help an organization evaluate whether a funding opportunity fits its goals and capacity.”
6. Prohibited Funding Claims
Do not say or imply:
- “FundWisr guarantees grants.”
- “FundWisr will get your nonprofit funded.”
- “Use FundWisr and you will win grants.”
- “FundWisr guarantees approval.”
- “FundWisr guarantees donors, sponsors, contracts, loans, investments, or revenue.”
- “FundWisr knows which grant you will win.”
- “FundWisr is approved by a funder or government agency” unless that approval is real, current, documented, and authorized for promotion.
- “FundWisr is a grantmaker,” “FundWisr awards grants,” or equivalent statements unless FundWisr actually launches such a legally reviewed service.
Do not present a fit score, recommendation, prediction, funding match, or AI output as a funding decision.
7. Professional-Advice Claims
Do not represent FundWisr or a FundWisr output as:
- legal advice;
- tax advice;
- accounting or audit advice;
- investment advice;
- certified grant-writing advice;
- a guarantee of regulatory compliance;
- a government determination;
- an accreditation decision;
- a formal appraisal or valuation; or
- a substitute for qualified professional review when one is needed.
An Affiliate who separately provides professional services must clearly distinguish the Affiliate's own services from FundWisr's SaaS product.
8. Testimonials and Personal Experience
You may share an honest opinion based on genuine experience.
You may not:
- claim that you used a feature you did not use;
- invent results;
- create fake testimonials;
- pay for a positive review without appropriate disclosure and legal compliance;
- hide a material relationship;
- state that an unusual result is typical without support; or
- attribute your consulting work, grant-writing work, fundraising result, or other service result to FundWisr when that would be misleading.
9. Strategic Partner Title
If approved at the 20% tier, you may describe yourself as an:
Approved FundWisr™ Strategic Partner
or
Independent FundWisr™ Strategic Partner
Do not state or imply that “Strategic Partner” means:
- equity ownership;
- employment;
- a legal partnership;
- authority to bind FundWisr;
- certification;
- exclusive territory;
- official FundWisr spokesperson status; or
- authority to guarantee pricing, refunds, funding, customer eligibility, or feature access.
Standard Affiliates must not use the Strategic Partner title.
10. Trademark Rules
The approved brand form is FundWisr™.
Do not use FundWisr® unless FundWisr expressly authorizes that symbol after an applicable federal registration has issued for the relevant goods or services.
Without written approval, do not:
- alter the FundWisr logo;
- create a confusingly similar logo or trade dress;
- register FundWisr or a misspelling as a domain, social handle, business name, product, service, app, or program;
- place FundWisr branding more prominently than your own branding in a way that implies your property is an official FundWisr site;
- create unofficial certification, approval, or partner badges;
- remove trademark or copyright notices;
- use FundWisr marks on merchandise;
- sell or sublicense FundWisr brand assets; or
- suggest FundWisr endorses another product, political candidate, organization, cause, service, or person unless FundWisr has expressly approved that endorsement.
11. Logos, Screenshots, and Product Images
Use only current approved assets.
You may resize an approved asset proportionally where necessary, but may not distort, recolor, redraw, animate, crop out ownership elements, or combine it with another mark in a way that changes its identity unless FundWisr supplies or approves the variation.
Screenshots must not expose customer confidential information.
Do not edit screenshots to fabricate:
- scores;
- customer results;
- grant awards;
- prices;
- features;
- deadlines;
- data sources;
- integrations;
- recommendations; or
- system capabilities.
12. Paid Search and Brand Bidding
Without prior written approval, Affiliates may not bid on:
- FundWisr;
- FundWisr™;
- common misspellings;
- confusingly similar names;
- FundWisr module or product names; or
- combinations intended to intercept users already searching specifically for FundWisr.
Affiliates may not use FundWisr trademarks in paid-search display URLs or ad copy in a way that makes the ad appear to be placed by FundWisr.
FundWisr may authorize nonbrand paid campaigns in writing.
13. Domains, URLs, and Social Handles
Prohibited examples include:
fundwisr-discounts.exampleofficialfundwisr.examplefundwisrgrants.example@FundWisrSupportwhen not operated by FundWisr@OfficialFundWisrPartnerif it creates a false official impression
An Affiliate may use FundWisr in a truthful descriptive page title or article title, such as:
“My Review of FundWisr™ for Nonprofit Strategy”
provided the context does not imply ownership or official status.
14. Email Marketing
Commercial email promoting FundWisr must comply with applicable law.
At minimum, Affiliates should:
- use accurate From, Reply-To, and routing information;
- use a subject line that accurately reflects the message;
- identify advertising as required;
- include a valid physical postal address;
- provide a clear opt-out mechanism;
- honor opt-outs within the legally required period;
- avoid purchased or harvested lists that cannot be lawfully used; and
- include the Affiliate disclosure near the FundWisr recommendation or link.
FundWisr may require an Affiliate to stop a campaign that generates spam complaints or compliance concerns.
15. Text Messages, Calls, and Direct Messaging
Do not send FundWisr marketing texts, automated calls, prerecorded calls, or similar outreach without the consent and legal basis required in the recipient's jurisdiction.
Do not use bots or automated direct-message tools to send deceptive or unsolicited high-volume FundWisr promotions.
If a recipient asks you to stop, honor the request as required by law and your own privacy/marketing obligations.
16. Coupons, Rebates, Cash Back, and Incentives
Only FundWisr may authorize a FundWisr coupon, discount, rebate, scholarship, cashback offer, free extension, bonus, or similar purchase incentive.
Do not:
- create a fake coupon;
- post expired codes as current;
- claim your code is exclusive when it is not;
- promise to share commission with the buyer without written approval;
- use coupon sites or browser extensions to overwrite another Affiliate's referral; or
- advertise a discount that changes the economics of the subscription without FundWisr approval.
17. Prohibited Tracking Manipulation
The following are prohibited:
- cookie stuffing;
- forced clicks;
- hidden iframes;
- automatic redirects that set referral attribution without a genuine user choice;
- malicious browser extensions;
- adware;
- spyware;
- pop-under schemes designed primarily to capture attribution;
- click injection;
- referral-code substitution;
- unauthorized attribution overwriting;
- fake conversions;
- fake accounts;
- self-referral abuse; and
- any deceptive attempt to receive commission for a customer you did not genuinely refer.
18. Competitive Comparisons
You may make fair, current, supportable comparisons between FundWisr and other products.
Do not:
- fabricate competitor features or pricing;
- use a competitor's trademark in a misleading way;
- present subjective opinion as verified fact;
- claim FundWisr is “the only,” “the best,” or “#1” without adequate substantiation when the statement would reasonably be understood as an objective claim; or
- disparage a competitor with false statements.
19. AI-Generated Affiliate Content
You may use AI tools to help draft your marketing, but you remain responsible for every published claim.
Do not publish AI-generated content without checking:
- feature accuracy;
- pricing;
- commission disclosure;
- product names;
- legal and funding claims;
- source accuracy;
- testimonial truthfulness; and
- intellectual-property rights.
FundWisr may require removal of AI-generated content that hallucinates or misstates FundWisr capabilities.
20. Accessibility and Inclusion
Affiliates should use reasonable accessible marketing practices, including readable text, meaningful link labels, captions or transcripts for important video/audio content where practicable, and alt text for informative images.
Do not use discriminatory, demeaning, exploitative, or stigmatizing messaging about nonprofit leaders, donors, clients, communities, or people served.
21. Political and Government Impersonation Restrictions
Do not state or imply that FundWisr, an Affiliate, or a FundWisr recommendation is an official government communication, official grant award, government endorsement, regulatory approval, or political endorsement unless that statement is true, current, documented, and expressly authorized.
Do not use official-looking seals, fake agency notices, or other design intended to deceive a user about source.
22. Monitoring and Corrective Action
FundWisr may review Affiliate promotions and require correction or removal.
Possible actions include:
- education or warning;
- required edit;
- removal request;
- temporary campaign suspension;
- commission hold;
- tier downgrade;
- Affiliate suspension;
- Affiliate termination;
- commission reversal for affected transactions; or
- legal action when appropriate.
Material fraud or deception may result in immediate termination without a prior warning.
23. Required Correction Time
Unless a shorter period is necessary to prevent immediate harm, an Affiliate should correct or remove materially inaccurate or noncompliant promotional content within two (2) business days after FundWisr sends a written compliance notice.
Urgent content involving fraud, false grant guarantees, impersonation, security, illegal communications, or intellectual-property misuse must be removed immediately upon notice.
