Working with what you have

AI Co-Strategist

Asking questions about your own organization in plain language, and letting it do things rather than only answer.

What it can see

The Co-Strategist reads your live records: your revenue, diagnostics, programs, people, deadlines, governance, and profile. It is not a general chatbot with your logo on it, and it is not answering from what it knows about nonprofits in general. Ask it something your data cannot support and it should tell you so.

Asking well

The difference between a useful answer and a generic one is almost always the question.

  • Ask about your situation, not about the sector. "What is my biggest revenue risk" beats "how do nonprofits diversify revenue".
  • Ask it to do the tedious part. "Create tasks for everything overdue on the deadline board and assign them to me" is work it is good at and you are not.
  • Ask it to argue with you. "What is wrong with this plan" gets you further than "is this plan good".
  • Give it the constraint. "With one full-time person and no new money" changes the answer entirely and is the part people leave out.

What it costs

On paid plans, questions come out of your monthly AI allowance like anything else that generates text. On Foundation, you get two questions for the life of the account. They do not reset and they are metered separately so they cannot be spent on something else. They exist to let you try it. See Plans and what each one includes.
