Getting started
Your organization profile
The record every other tool reads from, why filling it in is the highest-value hour you will spend, and what each part of it unlocks.
Why this one comes first
The organization profile is the keystone record. Grant matching reads your mission, budget, and location to score fit. Document Studio reads your legal name and address to fill in a draft. Diagnostics read your stage and budget to weight your answers. Peer comparison reads your size to decide who your peers are.
An empty profile does not break anything. It quietly makes everything less accurate, which is worse, because the software will still give you an answer.
Filling it in
Open
Organization Profilefrom the sidebar, under Work & knowledge.Work down the sections. Each one saves on its own, so you can leave and come back.
A section you have completed shows a filled progress marker. Nothing is lost if you close the tab mid-section.
Add your EIN, legal name, and mailing address if you have them to hand.
These three are what generated documents need most often. Without them, drafts come back with blanks you have to fill in by hand every time.
