Why they exist

Most people connected to a nonprofit need to do one or two things and see nothing else. A portal gives them exactly that, and gives you a way to collect what you need from them without handing anybody a seat or a view of your donors.

PortalWho uses it, and for what
VolunteerShifts, hours, and their own paperwork. Uses no seat.
BoardTheir documents, disclosures, and meetings. Uses no seat.
StaffTheir own employment record and what they need to complete.
ParticipantThe people your programs serve, where you choose to give them access.

Getting people into one

Invite them with the matching role. Volunteer reaches the volunteer portal and nothing else. Board Member (portal only) reaches the board portal and uses no seat, which is what most trustees should have. See Your team and what each role can see.
